To our Pilgrim Church family,
As many of you have already heard, a pipe burst in the attic of Pilgrim Church in the early morning hours of January 5th. While we are grateful that our sanctuary, and much of the church and day care classrooms were not affected, the kitchen and parlor of the church received serious water damage, as well as the infant/toddler and pre-school A classrooms. Serve Pro was called in immediately, and has been working to dry and correct all the areas affected as quickly as possible. They have been doing a great job, and we expect to be looking at reconstructing the damaged walls, ceilings, etc. as quickly and effectively as possible, with the hope that the classrooms can be up and running within the next one to two weeks.
Once that is done, the Rainbow room and the Bible Adventure room will be returned for use by the Church School. Many thanks go to Michelle Manganaro, our PCCP Director, and Emily Kellar, Church School Superintendant, for overseeing the temporary transition of these rooms, and ensuring that both the day care and the church school are kept fully functional while the work is being done; both are doing a tremendous job in seeing that both the Church's and the Day Care's needs are being met during this time.
We will keep you posted as to when we can return to coffee hour after Sunday worship, and we appreciate all of your patience and support during this time. Please keep us in your prayers, and let us know if you have any questions or concerns that we can answer while we are "putting things back together".
In peace.
