We are all ministers of the church. Whenever possible, we want to invite and draw people into the life of our church.
There are many groups who perform different tasks in support of our mission - seeking to live as Jesus taught. Each of the groups has a leader who is chosen by the consensus of the group. These leaders are representatives on the Church Council that is led by the Moderator of the church, who is elected by the church members. The church's by-laws are in a document that is reviewed, modified and approved by the members of the church.
| Christian Education | The execution of the program is administered by the Pastor of Christian Education. The group promotes the volunteerism of the church members as teachers. |
| Deacons | Spiritual - organize services, confirmation, baptism and Stephen's Ministers |
| Trustees | Financial - oversee spending and budget |
| Stewardship | Promote time, talent and financial commitment of the members |
| Outreach | Organize, support and execute efforts to help people in need in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA and Worldwide. The budget for this group is the total amount that is pledged specifically for Outreach in the annual stewardship campaign. |
| Pilgrim Womens Fellowship | This is a women's group who performs many functions in internal support of the church. The group provides many opportunities and experiences for fellowship, socializing and spirituality. This group has monthly "board" meetings whose attendees are invited to be any women in the church, and guests. |
| Endowment | Investment and administration of gifts and bequests received for this purpose. |

| Strategic Planning | Helping Pilgrim Church to offer new opportunities to help all parishioners enhance their spiritual growth. 1) enhance spiritual growth, 2) further in-reach to our neighbors within Pilgrim Church, and 3) extend our reach outside Pilgrim Church. |
| Flowers | Responsibility for providing the flowers in the sanctuary and narthex each Sunday as well as decorating the Church for holidays and other significant services. An average of 49 parishioners have donated flowers for each of the Christmas and Easter services; 42 members gave flowers for the Sunday services throughout the year. |

| Saturday Night Five! | Alternative service at 5pm on Saturdays led by members |
| Volunteer Coordinator | Helping us find personally rewarding ministries that use our gifts, to help begin new ministries, to help the coordination of ministries to find appropriate people to help, and to be sure we are providing appropriate training and support to our lay ministers. |
| Denominational Affairs | Work in association with The Pilgrim Association (Southeastern MA) that includes 34 UCC churches from Quincy to Plymouth. A quote from the MAUCC web page makes us realize how "big" we really are: "With 412 churches, we are the oldest and largest Protestant denomination in the state". |
